The truck committee set out @ 7am May 12 for our flight to Louisiana. After couple hour flight we made our way to the Acme Oyster House in the French Quarter. For one of there well known Po-Boy Sandwich's. After lunch we did alittle site seeing before heading to Holden to get settled in for the night. The next day we made our way to the Ferrara plant to find our new Engine Tanker sitting in Ferrara's new and improved Delivery Center. The committee went over ever inch of the truck before going out to drive and do alittle pumping with the truck. The committee was very pleased with the construction of the truck and only had to add afew minor things like handles and a folding step. The truck left the Ferrara plant on Sunday May 23 to head north to Harrisburg, PA for the Fire Expo Show. We should be taking delivery of the new truck within the next few weeks. We would like to thank Ferrara Fire Apparatus for building the truck and the community for your support in which gives us the opportunity to serve you better. We would like to say a special thanks to Winstead Fire Equipment and to Preston Ford for providing a ride to and from the airport!!!!
